Seminar on Net Metering

23rd September 2016 Premier Energy organized a seminar on “Net Metering in Pakistan” at their Head Office here in Gulberg Lahore. The seminar aimed to build awareness related to the concept of Net Metering, the procedures involved, highlight the benefits and the Standards required. The event was opened with a welcome address by Country Head Premier Energy; Mr. Daniyal Siddiqui who also briefed the participants about Premier’s aim to revolutionize the energy sector of the country.

The main speaker for the event was a renowned energy expert; Mr. Faiz Muhammad Bhutta. Mr. Bhutta’s session focused on the benefits of Net Metering and the procedures involved in benefitting from this concept. He also briefed the audience about the quality standards set by NEPRA. His session highlighted Net Metering as a concept that shall enable the consumers to save and earn at the same time.

The seminar was followed by a question and answer session to help the audience understand the concept of Net Metering in detail and share their reservations and misconceptions related to solar technology.

On this occasion Mr. Iftikhar Randhawa Chief Engineer Power Punjab Energy Department congratulated Premier Energy for conducting this seminar and applauded this initiative from the Private Sector. He also said that the Punjab Energy Department welcomes such initiatives and shall join hands and offer full support for the promotion of the concept of Net Metering in Pakistan. He also announced another seminar on the same topic on behalf of Punjab Energy Department which is expected in the third week for October 2016.
